“Michael Amante Appearing at The Italian Center
             on Saturday, October 11, 2008”

We are pleased to announce that Michael Amante, world-renown recording artist, will provide the evening’s entertainment at this year’s Columbus Day weekend gala.

Mr. Amante is considered one of the most versatile and gifted performers able to sing in a variety of languages.  He also regularly records and performs in a vast array of styles including Classical, Opera, Italian Art, Pop/Rock, Gospel and Broadway with a flair, finesse and finely crafted artistry that puts this virtuoso vocalist firmly in his own class.  Singing since the tender age of five, he is gifted with a greater than four-octave range.

Amante has performed for countless dignitaries including former US presidents Gerald Ford, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, the late Pope John Paul II, UN Secretary –General Kofi Annan and other ambassadors.  Luciano Pavarotti suggested that Michael Amante sing for one of his own engagements.  He has performed in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Connecticut’s Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos.  He has released several CDs, made many television appearances and he has performed at major entertainment venues throughout the world.
