Orcas Swim Team

Head Coach: Ausra McKenna

The swim team is opened to members and non-members throughout the fall, winter and spring sessions. During the summer session the Orcas swim team is open to the IC membership only.

The Orcas Swim team program encompasses all ages and levels of ability and is structured to provide careful development and steady progression through the stages of competitive swimming. The program is composed of athletes and their families from Stamford and surrounding communities. The Orcas Swim Team is a family oriented swimming program. The strength of the volunteer parent organization together with the excellence of its coaching staff and the support if the IC has resulted in a highly successful swim program at all levels.

The Orcas compete in the Westchester/Fairfield Swim League during the 26-week short course season.  The season begins with the first practice in September and culminates with the League Championships and the USA Age Group Championships in March.  Swimmers will participate in meets for the Westchester/Fairfield Swim League and be given the opportunity to participate in USA sanctioned meets as well.  The Orcas swim program is divided into 6 different levels by age and ability.

For more practice information and schedules, flyers are located near the swim team bulletin board, next to the indoor pool.
