Orcas Swim Team

The swim team is opened to members and non-members throughout the fall, winter and spring sessions. During the summer session the Orcas swim team is open to the IC membership only.
The Orcas Swim team program encompasses all ages and levels of ability and is structured to provide careful development and steady progression through the stages of competitive swimming. The program is composed of athletes and their families from Stamford and surrounding communities. The Orcas Swim Team is a family oriented swimming program. The strength of the volunteer parent organization together with the excellence of its coaching staff and the support if the IC has resulted in a highly successful swim program at all levels.
The Orcas compete in
the
Westchester/Fairfield
Swim League during
the 26-week short
course season.
The season begins
with the first
practice in
September and
culminates with the
League Championships
and the USA Age
Group Championships
in March.
Swimmers will
participate in meets
for the
Westchester/Fairfield
Swim League and be
given the
opportunity to
participate in USA
sanctioned meets as
well. The
Orcas swim program
is divided into 6
different levels by
age and ability.

Inclement Weather
In the past we

miscommunication
regarding inclement
weather and swim
meets or practice.
In case of inclement
weather, please call
the IC front desk at
203-322-6941 to
determine what
alternate
arrangements have
been made for
practice or swim
meets.
