Platform Teams/Leagues


The Italian Center tennis teams compete in the Fairfield County Platform Tennis League, Fairfield county Women’s Platform Tennis League and the League.  The Italian Center and the league encourage sportsmanship, camaraderie and friendly competition in all matches. We have four men’s teams competing at all levels of league competition from Division 1 through Division 8.  Our women’s team began participating in league competition last year and is currently fielding teams in Divisions 6 and 9.

2016-2017 Men’s Program options:

 Program #1 – League Includes league dues, Tuesday night instruction & play, FCTPL league matches, house league, practices, balls and refreshments.    D1 and D 3 begin 10/15. D5 & D7 begin 10/16.

Cost: $180/player, due by September 30

Thursday League: FCPTL League: Night matches start in October 7:00pm-9:30pm

League practices: Thurs Sept 29 @ 6:30pm-9:30pm; Sat Oct 1 and Sun Oct 2 @ 8:00am-11:00am; Thurs Oct 6 @ 6:30pm-9:30pm, Sun Oct 9 @ 8:00am-11:00am.  Players should attend at least 2 of 5 

House League

This will be an internal league, with priority given to players not in the Saturday or Sunday lineup on a given weekend, followed by players looking for more match play. Play starts at 8:30am or 10:30am Saturday depending on the D1/D3 schedule. House League players may be called upon to play in FCPTL league matches if needed. 

FCPTL Teams Four weekend teams and two Thursday teams with 8 players in the lineup each week October-February. The Paddle Committee will choose 8 players to be frozen on each team. Players can call or e-mail the captains with


Program #2 – Social Focus on skill development, includes Tuesday night instruction & play, open round robins, House League and social events.                                 Cost: $120/player, due by September 30

Women's Platform Tennis Options



2017-2018 Women’s Program

 Fall/Winter League FCWPTL, Divisions 6 & 9. Thursday matches 9:30a.m. beginning Oct. 19th. Team dues $55 per person. Team clinics: Wednesday & Friday mornings, $200/8 sessions. Interested players should contact Jackie Cameron at or Beth Cherico at
